Philip Meaker, MD, MPH

Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

Dr. Meaker is a native of Endwell, NY. He received his Bachelor's in Biology and Master's in Public Health - epidemiology from the State University of New York at Albany. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from Georgetown Medical School in 2003. Dr. Meaker completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2007.

Dr. Meaker is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Monroe County Medical Society. He is a member of the Accountable Health Partners Adult Primary Care Advisory Committee. His interests in medicine include Evidence-Based Medicine and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Meaker previously worked part-time as a Hospitalist with Clifton Springs Hospital.

He resides in Pittsford with his wife and their three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys bicycling, woodworking and photography.

Maysaa Hameed, MD, M.B.CH.B

Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine

Dr. Hameed is a 2004 graduate from the University of Baghdad School of medicine with an international background. Upon receiving her M.B.CH.B degree, she practiced in Iraq and Jordan for four years in family practices before immigrating to the United States in 2009. Dr. Hameed completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2015 at Unity Hospital, Rochester Regional Health System.

As a board-certified Internal medicine physician since 2015, she previously worked with Unity Internal Medicine at Ridgeway as a primary care provider for over six years. She has also been a part-time hospitalist at Rochester General Hospital.

Head of our office-based obesity clinic at Victor Health Associates: Dr. Hameed has specific qualifications and an interest in Obesity medicine, with certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She recognizes obesity as a chronic and complex medical condition, and is willing to provide patients with holistic, personalized weight management plans.

A resident of Pittsford, NY, Dr. Hameed lives with her husband and three kids, with whom she enjoys travelling the world. She likes to stay active by walking, swimming, and biking. Dr. Hameed joined us in March of 2022.

Josephine Barrett, MD

Internal Medicine

Dr. Barrett graduated with a BA from Smith College and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997 from Dartmouth Medical School . She completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2000 through the Primary Care Internal Medicine Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Barrett is board certified in Internal Medicine and practiced medicine for 10 years with the Northgate Medical Group (subsequently known as Unity Internal Medicine @ Pine Ridge) in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Barrett joined Victor Health Associates in November of 2010. Dr. Barrett lives in Victor with her husband and three children.

Kevin Penird, MD

Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

Dr. Penird graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1990. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1994 from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland Ohio. In 1998, Dr. Penird finished his combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency through the University of Rochester.

Dr. Penird is board certified in both Pediatric and Adult Internal Medicine and joined Victor Health Associates in 1999.

He lives in Farmington with his three girls and wife and enjoys photography and baseball.
